WHY USE US

At ReconnaSense, we bring to each client's unique set of questions our long experience and the right investigative temperament, along with access to deep resources, to produce the best results possible.

Resources

With over a decade’s experience gathering and analyzing business background intelligence and performing due diligence work of various kinds, we know where to go to find a wealth of business (and non-business) information. Much of it – tens of billions of records, in fact – is in subscription database aggregators such as Lexis, Westlaw, Bloomberg, Dialog, Thompson, Factiva, Dow Jones, S&P, CourtLink, ChoicePoint, ProQuest, ImageINS, Investext, Zephyr, and EBSCO. Other information, however, must be obtained through primary research or via archives, library collections, and other methods and sources.

Research, Analysis

Relevant business information alone, though, is often not enough. Information must be sifted, sorted, analyzed, and understood by a human mind for it to be truly useful. The automated crunching of data has its place, but without the application of human intelligence, no artificial intelligence will ever provide a genuine competitive advantage.

Moreover, databases do not yield the nuggets of information that are most needed without experts in control of the search engines. Not only does the researcher need to understand how best to formulate search queries, but he must have the skill to take in the impartial, tangential, or near-hit data and reformulate queries to get to the needed information. Depending on the assignment, this process frequently must be reiterated time and again until a hazy picture crystallizes into concrete, clear, precise, multi-dimensional understanding. Our years of experience have married patience to research intelligence to provide the right mix of adaptivity and doggedness.

Working with Clients

We believe in working closely with our clients to understand fully the nature of the investigative engagement, and design each research project according to those particular needs. Innumerable engagements have taught us that there is no single formula applicable to all research projects.

Indeed, in our experience, as the investigation proceeds, information is collected, and understanding is accrued, the nature of the project can change, frequently leading to new discoveries and new questions. When and as needed, we provide findings to our clients on an interim basis and discuss their implications so that the investigation can adapt and evolve. We can also work with our clients to establish on-going tracking or follow-up research to remain current in quickly changing environments.
