BIO
Dr Stein's work has covered a wide-range of subjects. He has supervised, summarized, and organized research into slave labor, stolen assets, and insurance and banking "takings" during the Holocaust for a team of researchers culled from an international consortium of law firms, professors of law, and historians. His research into property seizures in post-War Poland was submitted as an affidavit in a case that ultimately reached the U.S. Supreme Court. More commonly, he has assisted clients in obtaining answers (and formulating questions) to their specific, fine-grained intelligence needs. His industry and business analyses have helped his clients obtain millions in their various business enterprises. Whatever the engagement, his efforts have helped his clients obtain maximum results and avoid costly errors.
Before taking a doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Walter Annenberg and William Penn fellow (and where he still teaches), his master's degree from Indiana University, and his bachelor's from Wabash College (Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude), Dr. Stein was an English teacher in Japan, a book dealer, a public relations officer for a blood bank, and, for six years, a member of the AFL-CIO. He is currently a member of the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals (SCIP), the Association of Independent Information Professionals (AIIP), and the U.S. Association of Professional Investigators (USAPI).
Dr Stein has published in the academic and popular press, has demonstrated proficiency in three foreign languages, and has been for many years a volunteer at the Friends of the Free Library of Philadelphia.
